Savages' Jehnny Beth Announces Second Album 'You Heartbreaker, You' With First Single Broken Rib

Savages singer Jehnny Beth has laid out plans for her sophomore solo album.
'You Heartbreaker, You' will arrive through 20L07/Fiction on August 29, following up her 2020 debut LP, 'To Love Is To Live'. Recorded with longtime co-creator Johnny Hostile at their 20L07 studio in France, Beth said of the project:
"We’re living in a dark time, full of drama and barbarous tragedy. It became clear to me that, in these times, we either learn how to scream really well, or we learn how to whisper."
To coincide with the announcement, Beth has shared the record's angsty first single, Broken Rib, which serves up her signature intensity and raw energy, while offering vulnerability and resilience within the song's lyrics. Check out its accompanying video, co-directed by Beth and Hostile, below.
Beth will play a special DJ set on the Shangri-La stage at Glastonbury Festival on June 28, before supporting Queens Of The Stone Age at their Rock N Roll Circus shows at Sheffield's Don Valley Bowl on August 27 and 28. Tickets are on sale now.
