A new judge will soon take the bench of Stow Municipal Court.
Cynthia Curtin was appointed to the court by Gov. Mike DeWine and will take office on June 9. Curtin, of Hudson, will serve the remainder of Judge Kim Hoover’s unfinished term. To retain the seat, she must run for election in November.
Curtin is currently an attorney at Perez Morris in Cleveland. She began her law career as an associate for Keller, Scully, and Williams in 1989 after receiving her juris doctorate from Cleveland State University College of Law. From 2003 until 2023, she owned and managed Curtin Law in Akron.
Curtin is a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Akron Bar Association, Cleveland Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, and the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms.
